EIFS Replacement | Our Specialty
EIFS (Exterior Insulation & Finish System) has been a nightmare for Oregon homeowners since it was introduced over 20 years ago. EIFS looks like stucco but is actually a styrofoam panel that is attached to the plywood sheathing of a house with a stucco veneer sprayed onto the styrofoam paneling. This eliminates a lot of the cost of doing a real stucco finish (three coat process, labor intensive) and allowed architects and builders to create the traditional stucco look for 35% less than actual stucco. The issue with EIFS is that the styrofoam paneling acts like a sponge around the house and traps moisture creating major dry rot and mold issues.

LRS specializes in EIFS replacement projects using Hardieplank, cedar, Cultured Stone & Castia Stone to replace the defective EIFS cladding. On this project we removed all of the EIFS from the home, performed major dry rot repairs to the structure behind the EIFS, installed cedar board & batten and cedar skirl siding as well as Cultured Stone accents.

By transforming this home into a NW traditional style we were able to add to the homes value while replacing the defective EIFS cladding. We spend a lot of time on design with our clients who are looking to replace their EIFS to insure that we add value to the home with good design.
